This pattern will guide you step-by-step to create a Virgin of Guadalupe amigurumi approximately 26 cm (approximately 10 inches) tall. I have personally crocheted this amigurumi using Sinfonía 100% mercerized cotton yarn with a thickness of 3 mm (6 strands) and a 2.5 mm hook, which gives it a lovely finish.

The red roses that accompany the Virgin of Guadalupe in this design evoke the miracle of Tepeyac. According to tradition, the Virgin asked Juan Diego to collect roses in the middle of winter as a sign for the bishop. These roses, blooming inexplicably, not only proved the authenticity of the divine message but also revealed the sacred image on the tilma. In this context, the red roses symbolize love, grace, divine proof, and the deep connection between the Virgin and her people.
